Currently, the Club gives 8 to 14 scholarships and fellowships each year to women in colleges and universities in and around Pasadena. Over its history the Club has distributed over $1.2 million to 620 women. The Scholarship Foundation endowment currently stands at approximately $1.8 million and is managed by the Pasadena Community Foundation.

Our first meeting of the year with a kick off from the League of Women Voters, who presented further detail on the California propositions that would appear on the ballot to be held on November 3rd. This was to be a non partisan look at the issues. Attendance was excellent and it was good to see so many members in attendance, with guests!.
CWC members were fortunate to attend a tour and presentation by Executive Director Karen Sinclair at The Old Mill in San Marino on March 30th, with lunch at Bun n Burger in Alhambra immediately following. It was a lovely spring day, and the beautiful gardens were in peak form. Included in the tour was a brief presentation by Angela Lowell of The Diggers Garden Club.
El Molino Viejo, also known as The Old Mill, is a former grist mill completed in 1816 in the San Rafael Hills of present-day San Marino. This lovely hidden gem offers a fascinating link to the past. Now a notable California cultural center, its' beautiful gardens welcome visitors throughout the year. Inside, the California Art Club Gallery in the converted Granary Room features paintings of California scenes that change multiple times a year.
